Description

NADPH, short for β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (reduced form), is also known as sodium reduced coenzyme II-4. It was formerly called pyridine triphosphate nucleotide and is abbreviated as TPN. It acts as a reducing agent and a hydride ion donor.
